Ulleri: A Major Stop on the way to Poon Hill
Ulleri is a small hill station in Nepal's Annapurna region on the way to Poon hill and Ghorepani. It is situated near Pokhara. It is located at approximately 2,070 meters above sea level. Although other towns like Kathmandu and Pokhara are typically busy, Ulleri is peaceful and quiet. The village is famous for its long stone staircase with over 3,200 steps. Trekkers climb the staircase from Nayapul to reach Ghorepani and Poon Hill. The climb is exhausting but rewarding. The Ulleri climb begins from Tikhe Dhunga.
