NMC Rules for MBBS Abroad 2026 (Latest Update)
The National Medical Commission (NMC) regulates foreign MBBS degrees for Indian students.
If you want to practice medicine in India, you MUST follow these rules.
Minimum Course Duration Rule (54 Months)
An MBBS abroad must be a minimum of 54 months (4.5 years) at the same university.
The total course must be completed within 10 years from the admission date.
Internship abroad at the same university
Additional internship in India after FMGE/NEXT
Foreign MBBS graduates must complete an internship within 10 years of joining the MBBS.
