The EBC is an exciting journey to the most popular Khumbu region of Nepal, with stunning views of the towering Himalayas. Important stops in EBC will include Namche Bazaar, at 3,440m, a bustling Sherpa market town, and Tengboche Monastery, at 3,867 meters, famous for spiritual ambiance and mountain backdrop, Dingbcohe (4400m), a large and popular town in Khumbu region, on the way to EBC, before concluding at Everest Base Camp, at 5,364 meters, marking a milestone for trekkers and climbers alike.
Trekkers require a Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and a Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit for Everest Base Cam Trekking. Accommodations in EBC are in teahouses that offer simple rooms and basic food items, traditionally dal bhat. These days, trekkers can get attached bathroom in their accommodation in Everest Base Camp Trek especially at Laukla, Phakding, Namche and Dingboche. If you cannot share the bathrooms and toilets, you can ask your trekking company who is operating your EBC Trek to manage you private suite accommodation during your Everest Trekking.
