A native of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Dr. Kelly is a graduate of Gateway High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete. After completing college and medical school in Indiana, he returned to Pittsburgh for his residency in orthopaedic surgery. During residency, he was heavily involved in medical student education and served as chief resident. Dr. Kelly advanced his expertise in sports medicine and shoulder surgery with fellowship training at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center and Tulane University. He trained alongside internationally renowned surgeons and orthopaedic leaders while learning cutting-edge techniques for shoulder, elbow, and knee injuries.
